There is a juggle between running the hotel and the danger of the occupants. and the safety of June also.
Interesting storyline as normally we would expect a story from London but this story has a different slant and really interesting
Recommended read due for publication June 3rd 2025.
I was asked by NetGalley to review this amazing debut novel.
This had me on the edge of my seat this had me form the beginning - this tells the story of Natalie Campbell who was assaulted and now suffers from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and suffering blackouts as a result of this. Husband Ryan is accused of her crime. Detective Helen Stratton is investigating her case. Natalie is unsure of her husband innocence and both are essentially bothered by past traumas . They weave through a challenging, puzzling and scary case.
Wow this was such a good read and due for publication June 19 2025.
I was asked by NetGalley to review this book and I really enjoyed this psychological thriller.
Modern take on this by using emails to tell the story. Aria who is working undercover and intercepts a murdered group of friends and each one is a suspect in her murder. With the emails keeps moving the suspense on with secrets within the university and an academic dark side. The author weaves a good story with twists and turns throughout keeping the reader guessing right till the very end.
Recommended read due for publication July 3 2025.
Really thought Provoking Read
I was asked by NetGalley to review this really good read.
This is set on a fictional island within the Thames.
The people who live there are arty, boat builders and interesting characters. This encompasses several decades and generations within this interesting community.
A former resident returns and things get difficult with plenty of secrets to tell and life will never be the same in Walnut Tree Island.
A really good read and due for publication July 3rd 2025.
I was asked by NetGalley to review this book. I was aware of Miss Austen due to the BBC dramatization of the authors book so was interested to read this as I am a fan Of Pride and Prejudice. I was interested to see how this story would and would this be a good as Miss Austen - I was not disappointed.
This book is essentially about Jane's family and Fanny Knight a niece of Jane. Fanny loses her mother when she was young and helped her father with the running of the house.
Fanny ends up marrying a widower in her twenties - at that time it was important to marry but one had to marry within their social class which Jane Austen explores often. The other aspects - people very rarely married for love and such an emphasis on class and fortunes.
The storyline is good and is well written also. A good recommended read due for publication July 8th 2025.
I was asked by NetGalley to review this fab book by Ruth Jones - I have to admit I am late to the table with Ruth Jones but jolly glad I have discovered her novel writing.
This is two stories intertwined, two characters - Levi and Linda as well a time.. Linda is someone who works on unclaimed heirs. Levi an elderly man lived on an island in Scotland, This takes Linda on her last case before her retirement.
We learn about Linda, Levi and his estranged daughters as well being drawn into the island and island life.
This has been written beautifully with wonderful characterisation with humour thrown into the mix.
This is due for publication May 22 2025 and will be a top ten read as well as a great sunbed read summer 2025 and beyond.

I was asked by NetGalley to review this really unusual well written book.
This is about a man who can taste great meals a ghost ate when they were alive.
The author tells the tale of Konstantin Duhovny from the Ukraine who discovers he has a unique ability. He can help bereaved people contact the deceased person by cooking the last meal the deceased ate. And how can hew do this - well he can taste this himself. He only know this started when he was 11 and his own father passed away.
This is a mystery about the afterlife and the connotation with the living. Really unusual and I have not come across anything like it.
Recommended read due for publication May 22 2025.
I was asked by NetGalley to review this beautifully written book.
It is so emotional but inspirational with four people and a tragedy who care for a 3 year old called Joel. This little one brings life back to their upturned lives and brings them together. Great characters.
Heart-warming and recommended - due for publication June 6th 25.
I was asked to review this book by NetGalley
This book is the first in this author's trilogy and this makes me want to read book 2.
This is multi generational story from New York, Scotland to London. The Sevensisters house holds secrets of the family of Alice and Tom.
There is the intertwining of love, loss and sacrifice. Set mainly in the 50s and 60s with some wartime story thrown in to the mix as two stories come together.
A really compelling - I am now seeking out this author. Due for publication 12th June 2025.

I was interested to read this as compared to a modern Four Weddings and a Funeral - I thought that was not that long ago until I realised the film was release 31 years ago!!
So thank you to NetGalley for letting me review this fun story.
This story focuses on 6 friends university friends, and where the story begins then moving on some 20 years to the present day. Each of the 6 friends has a story to tell and some had stayed in touch more than others. Then they reunite to celebrate an engagement for one of the friends.
This is a light hearted book with real characters we can all relate to.
Recommended summer read due for publication Jun 12 2025.
I loved the Romanian folklore and the historical setting of the small rural village.
There are gothic and scary threads throughout this story as a young woman is intent on bringing her the soul of her sister from the underworld and a vampire to guide her.
This was a interesting slant on vampires and gothic themes and interesting that there was no chapters but five sections again different.
Scary and quite a sad story so get the tissues out.
Recommended read due for publication May 8th 2025.
I was excited to read this from NetGalley. I have not read any of this series but have watched the tv adaptations with Lesley Manville.
This was a great addition to the book series. The author has created great characters with murder, mystery and good twists thrown into the mix
