I was asked to read this cute book by NetGalley - I know Alex Horne from appearing in the Channel 4 show - The Last Leg so was intrigued if this would live up to the Cheltenham Literature Festival pre reviews - it did.

This is an intriguing story of a young boy and the relationship he has with his grandfather who is slightly eccentric - we would all have loved a eccentric grandfather.

They find a stone on the beach and brings back things from the past as well as friendships and secrets.

Really lovely story and due for publication 3 July 2025.

As I am reading this Sophie Ellis-Bexter - Murder on the dance Floor is playing on Radio 2 in the background spooky or what?

I was asked to review this book by NetGalley wow -this was one big party that not everyone would survive! Sophie's 16th birthday bash turns out to be a who dunnit murder.

Who do you believe in this rich world - lots of twists and turn on the edge of your seat stuff a really good read with wow I did not see that coming!

A great sunbed read and due for publication just before the summer holidays start

Recommended and due for publication next moth 3 July 2025.

I was asked by NetGalley to review this book set in World War 2 in Vienna- a very different slant and quite intriguing.

The story is set around the Altermans, Sonya, Moses, Fania and Arnold.
This is where this is different the family member tell their individual stories. Describing their deaths at the hands of the Nazis.( normally the reader would experience some family members surviving this terrible time and looking back on those who sadly did not make it.) This is now the difference Then, they describe their lives as if they survived and lived in different parts of the world.
I have read a great deal concerning the Holocaust and this is not only beautifully written but in my view well researched on this part of history.

At times I wondered whilst reading this did they die?

Due for publication August 21 2025. This is a really recommended read.

I was asked by NetGalley to review this gripping tale set in 1940s London - Mary during the blitz takes on Elizabeth identity. A tale of rich and poor. You wonder just how many times this could have occurred during despair and confusion.
Just how far do you go to rid yourself of poverty and disappear into someone else life.
There is the morality issues and ethical issues but at the same time what a great story and so recommended.
The author transports the reader to this time well researched and well written

I am late to he table with this author and now seeking out her books.

Will be a great sunbed read as due for publication on the cusp of the summer holidays 3 July 2025.

Wow what a psychological thriller this is. Interesting mix of crime, thriller and encompasses the mental and emotional processes of the human mind.  I was riveted from the beginning as there was so many layers to this and the writer explores morality and really gets under the readers skin is how I can describe.

The story is of Jaydon a detective whose life is turned upside down when his daughter is kidnapped and is entangled in a web  of differing crimes, but as time goes on the macabre details emerge - a pharmaceutical scientist who commits terrible acts of violence but with no history of this or why they are doing this. Then with Dan Brown and Professor Langdon - mathematical equations at the crime scene. Who is doing this, as this is an intelligent murderer and is there links to his kidnapped daughter.

This really plays with the readers mind, complex , sinister and really clever at the same time. A really recommended read.
