Well Researched and a Great Fictional Read

I was asked by NetGalley to review this book. I particularly enjoy World War 2 books

Well written and so well researched

Stanley Wake is one of bombers in Bommer Command - who had a life expectancy of about 2 weeks during world war 2. His fellow crew members just want to get to their last mission all with superstions, feeling the Lancaster is haunted or just understandably scared. All serving their country and wanting to live.

Then there is Abby in a Lincoln factory- who salvages crashed planes for recycling the metals who seemingly is trying to not survive! they strike up a friendship with Abby and does she find a reason to live in the madness of war.

This is fictional story is a tribute to the men and women who either sacrificed their lives or did unimaginable things so that we have peace in Britiain today.

Ecxellent and recommended for fans of the Bomber Boys by Patrick Bishop, First Light by Geffrey Welland and many other books of this time.

So recommended and due for publication April 23 2026.

Beautifully written

I was asked both by NetGalley to review Kiley Dunbars new book- I loved the Borrow a Book shop books and this one was as good.

Lots a of wonderful characters, beautifully written and a lovely cosy story line.

Alice a trainee doctor seeking a quieter life, Murray coming back with a broken heart, and Finlay a mountain ranger loves being on hos own is drawn to the town, all pulled into the repair shop

Will these characters find love- be mended as the objects are at the repair shop who are broken and seeking love again.

Full of life, love, community and friendships this author has a talent for sharing wonderful people and settings in her books.

Loved this and it has been a privillage to read this before the publication date which is set for November 22nd 2025- just intime for Christmas and would make a perfect gift for someone.

WOW

I was asked by NetGalley to review this debut novel- wow this packed a punch.

DI Sam Hansen had been on sick leave and has returned to her work and the team are attempting to solve a murder. The murdered person had on their person a book " how to get away with murder" - the author an unnamed serial killer!
This is on many layers- the DI, the book and her trainee trying to solve the murder but also find out who the author of the book is and are they connected?
There are a lot of twists and turns in this story -I thought I cracked it but the final twist!! - will let the readers find out.

So so recomnded - this author can write and as a debut, this was outstanding.

Due for publication March 12 2026 and will go straight into the top ten.

I was asked by NetGalley to review this frestive thriller which I loved.

I was unable to put this down, athough October - I was sitting in the garden on a really warm afternoon.

Fast paced with lots of twists and turns, eeriness thrown into the mix - what a great thriller this is.

Moving into a new estate with what feels like great neighbours and a lovely Christmas ahead- then random packages appear at their front door - and from a "secret Santa" - very strange, but these begin to become more scary.

Near to their new home is a womens prison and those fans of Mark Edwards Magpie series will recognise Lucy Newton and the inmates are planning a Christmas play and none other than Lucy Newton is to take centre stage.

Recommended read from a really good author.

Ideal stocking filler as due for publication November 13 2025
