A must read

I was intrigued when this book popped up in NetGalley review books.

Whatever you do please read this book, you do not have to be disabled to read this. It gave me such insight, I laughed along with the author as she maintains humour in this memoir. This author became a friend and throughout reading this.

Moving, upsetting at times, uplifting, with sadness at times we want to be stong empowered women which I learnt can be a difficult task being disabled,

This is now published so if you have time over the hoildays please pick up this book and read.

Lovely Cotswold read

I was asked to review this book by NetGalley.

I always love Katie's writing as her stories are based in the Cotswold not  far from where I live so always a comforting cosy read.

Hattie job is to find other people their forever houses and dreams too. The story was predictable but that I did not mind as I was happy to immerse myself in this world and to find Hattie achieves some of her dreams too,

Due for publication February 12 2026.

Beauitful

I was asked to review this book by NetGalley.

This is a beautiful simply wriiten lovely story, the author writes well. The story is about Jaya a journalist who has just had her third miscarriage, and with her marriage in tatters she decides to visit India and look to finding out about her familys past and try to get some answers. Her Grandmother, Ravi shares her past - the struggles under British rule, secret love, and living in a difficult time then.

Jaya realiss the freedom to make certain choices that will mould our futures, friendship and what one takes for granted someone else will stive to obtain.

I loved this story and so recommended due for publication February 12 2026.

Gripping

I was asked to review this book by NetGalley

Mystery mixed with paranormal with romance thrown into the mix tackles issues in here with thought and the subject of the American dream .and university from a first generation imigrant- Jamaican- American.

The author writes well with an atmospheric feel to this story. It has all the mystery, gothic, slow to start the grips the reader and you wont be able to put this down as it rubbles to the end.

I really enjoyed this book and will be seeking out this author again, due for publication 27 January 26 so not long to wait.

I was asked by NetGalley to review this - I was intrigued to read this. I am late to the table and have not read the authors first book, but will do now  that I have read this book.

Mrs Sidhu is a caterer but on the side she is an amateur dectective and in this book she gets hired for the opening of a new art gallery. But just as she cannot belive her luck a significant painiting is stolen, and to cap it all her waitress is dead

Can she crack the case in this shadt world of art, deception and greed.

A really cosy dectective case

I was asked by NetGalley to review this totally magical story. I loved the two protagonists so much and I could not put this book down luckily the weather has been so bad that it has been ideal to cosy up and read.

Loved the fantasy parts of this not all is as it seems

Loved it so recommended total escapism

Due for publication Jan 22 2026

I was asked to review this book by NetGalley

I too was summoned for Jury duty last year - No way but Surgeon Mathew Phillips did and he would have got out of it easier than I did!!

You never know what the trial will be and neither did he- this is a murder of Christian Shaw 18 years old in a park in Edinburgh 2018. This could be some trial. The defendants who are on trial are two school students and the media is a frenzy - "witch girls". Mathew seems unaware of the media attention.

This gets under Mathews skin to the point where he is questioning his sanity and reasoning  in this case.

Who's telling the truth? Who can be trusted?

And what really happened to Christian Shaw?

Wow the ending is explosive

What a read

Readers you will have to wait till till February 26 2026 for publication date

Recommended.

I was asked to review by NetGalley wow spicy YA book.

As I work in a school as a Cover Supervisor - I thought this would be ready for this but wow clearly I am old !!

I loved the school setting, the spice well,

fun combination of colleagues, single father and a nanny into the mix - I read this in one go on a rainy day I loved it

Readers you dont have long to wait due for publication in the new year - Jan 15 2026.

I was asked by NetGalley to review this really interesating story.

In three parts essentially

In the 1930s the Hotel Lutetia attracted intellectuals and political activists, forced to flee their homes when Hitler came to power, who met here with the hope of forming an alternative government., and in 1940 Paris was Natzi occupied, The hotel became the headquarters of the German military intelligence service. Then in 1945 the Lutetia was requisitioned once more, this time transformed into a reception centre for deportees returning from the holocaust.

Three groups of people are connected to this place and one and other. It reminds me of Raffles hotel in Singapore during world wars 2 and the history around this time.

This is tubulent time in history with such atrocities the Nazi regieme bestowed upon people.

Very intense, sad but so well written and researched,

Due for publication Feb 26 2026.

I was asked to review this book by NetGalley and so glad I did.

I have an interest in second World War history, at half term I visited the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu and came across an SOE musum in the grounds which fascinated me. Mark Smith from the Antiques Roadshow - brings together not just enuthusiasm for this period but also real people were involved.

The author has carried out a great deal of research which is intertwinned with this story of two fictional characters Theo and Tessa - Theo comes home Tessa does not.

What is remarkable that this is not just the story of that time and never knowing really what happended- today research is being carried out that we now are privilaged to know - sadly relatives at that time would never have been able to find ou.

Fast forward to a PHD student who is researching the SOE during the war - finds Theo and through her research they uncover he truth.

So well written and what a story i loved this so thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Lori Ingles Hall for letting me read this before others will have the chance.

I reviewed Jeremy Vine Murder on line one sometime ago, and was really pleased that the publisher via NetGalley asked me to review Jeremy Vine new book.

A local doctor dies in mysterious circumstances and his poor widowed wife is getting tired of people thinking she did this! She ask radio presenter Edward to investigate.

This is murder, charm and wit all thrown into the mix whilst the reader is kept guessing along the way.

There are lots of twists and turns, Jeremy Vine writes as good story.

Due for publication April 23 2026. A recommended read.

I was asked to review this book by NetGalley.

An interesting window into different cultures, arranged marriages and immigration.

I have to say prior to reading this book, I knew little of this.  The author writes so well nd although these are complex in nature I really enjoyed this book.

This is about love, loss and connection.

I found the ending a little surprising but will leave this up to the readers

Readers do not have long to wait- due for publication January 29 2026.

I was asked to review this by NetGalley. Wow I loved the characters and this is modern dating, just how the modern world feels with lack of dIrection, relationship hang ups.

Interesting story of dating today and lonliness too. I have to say I so loved Chuck.

Recommended read but not due for publication till May 21 2026.

I was asked by NetGalley to review this powerful YA book.

As I work as a cover supervisor I can understand the nature of this book which is about three teenagers who come together to inflict harm following the rape of a fellow pupil in their class. This story covers, rape, sexual assualt, racism etc - all the aspects we cover in schools today. It is a must read for all readers not just YA,

The author writes well and the main characters are not perfect so we see them warts and all but together they bring justice. Well done Carmel for writing and pubblishing this book.

Due for publication end of Jan 2026.

I was asked  by NetGalley to review this beautiful story.

This author writes so well.

There is a lot in this dtory, from sadness, tragedy, family, courageousness and the ability to forgive too.

I was inspired, reduced to tears with sadness and such sensitive subjects which the author tackled with such sensitivity.

This was an epic novel and will be in the top ten when published March 2026.

So recommended.
