The Courage of Others

I was asked to review this book by Librarything.com.

I was hooked from page one and the book was glued to my hand. The story centres around a sixteen-year-old Davy Stoneman who goes to the railway station in 1919 to meet his Uncle who has been invalided home to Texas, from the Western Front.

The reader experiences racism and life in America just after the First World War. The characters are real and the story is told well.

A good piece of writing.
